It feels like science week every week at our school, as each class learns about the world around them through research, discussion and hands on discovery.
Students celebrated science to the max last week for ‘National Science Week’. Each class, including the new mid-year Joeys, reflected on how science impacts our lives. They discussed their favourite inventions, the qualities of scientists and some of the jobs they do. Students are grateful to scientists for creating foods, medicines, cars, materials and of course computers.
Fulham Gardens student scientists are curious, creative and full of wonder while examining crystals and exploring ideas about science in everyday objects.
On Thursday the Bees, Dragons, Giraffes and some Penguins decorated over 300 biscuits to share with our community. Creating designs of Planets, the Galaxy and aliens with icing and sprinkles. As you can imagine this activity was lots of fun and very messy!
On Friday during assembly, attending parents and students were treated to large mural posters created by each class and enjoyed the colourfully decorated biscuits, which tasted ‘out of this world!’.
