The Dragons class were treated to something very special for Book Week this week! They welcomed the wonderful author Cate Hogan, who shared her beautiful book with the children titled “Honey the Sea Dog”.
Cate brought the story to life as she read aloud, and the children were captivated by the beautiful symphony of sounds inspired by the beach. It was lovely to see their faces light up as they listened and imagined themselves in the story. The students then had the opportunity to ask Cate questions about her book, her writing and the inspiration behind the story. It was a wonderful Book Week experience and a special reminder that the stories we read can come from real people, real places and real experiences.
Students and teachers alike also brought characters to life with our very special BOOK WEEK PARADE! Students much loved characters new and old are celebrated in a fun parade around the school, with parents and playgroup invited to join.
