This week we visit Mr. D’s new foundation and year 1 Dragon’s class, having lots of fun with MATHS ALIVE! Turning the classroom into a math’s maze filled with multiple hands-on games to be explored, students experience learning about numbers in a fun interactive approach. Working together in small groups developing the proficiency strands in mathematics including:
- understanding,
- fluency,
- problem-solving and
- reasoning.
This allows students to familiarize, model, challenge and encourage ideas through play-based math activities, forming and strengthening team skills and building a strong start to the year.
