Last term, Mr Beaufoy’s year 4/5 Raptors class were visited by Fusetec’s Chief Executive Officer Mark Roe, to show the class advanced manufacturing of human body parts used in the medical industry for training doctors and surgeons. Students were able to get an understanding into this highly advanced technology through realistic teaching aids Mark brought in to model in his presentation. Students were first made aware of this technology through a news segment, which after some class discussions were lucky to have Mark Roe come in and talk to the students in person.
