The yr 5/6 Koalas and Rec/1 Dragons have teamed up to learn about growth mindsets and goal setting in buddy’s class with the theme of Commonwealth games in mind. First, they watched a video about how Commonwealth games athletes use a growth mindset and brainstormed why that was important. Next, they matched up their mindset cards with key words and definitions. Lastly, students wrote goals about what they wanted to improve in during the term using medal templates and described how they could use a growth mindset to achieve their goals. There were lots of gold medals won in the classroom!
