Miss Kim and Miss Maieli’s year 5/6 Koalas class visited the South Australian Museum for their last week of term excursion. Studying Science and Geography, students were able to closely look at how animals survive by adapting to their environments, and how animal’s behavioural and structural needs change and develop. Coastal, marine, and arid area animal exhibits were the focus of the day. Guided through the museum in a scavenger hunt, students had fun working in groups as they navigated their way through some of the interactive displays. Lunch was enjoyed outside the leafy grounds of the museum, before a short walk passed the South Australian Art Gallery, heading back by bus to school.
