This week, our Year 5/6 Pandas and Penguins classes visited the Australian Science and Mathematics School as part of their Curiosity in the Community Week program. Led by Year 10 and 11 students, the program was designed to engage primary students in STEM learning, with a strong focus on digital technologies.
During the visit, students toured the ASMS facilities, including the 3D and laser printing hub and a range of science laboratories. They then participated in a variety of hands-on activities such as virtual reality gaming and programming, augmented reality problem-solving, and solving coding mazes and challenges with Sphero robotics.
Our students were highly engaged throughout the day and thoroughly enjoyed the experience; many didn’t want to leave at the end of the visit!
