Recently, Happy Haven OSHC and FGPS hosted the channel 7 news, weather broadcast, promoting the SunSmart message.
FGPS and Happy Haven OSHC are both registered with the Cancer Council SA SunSmart Program which has been operating in South Australia for more than 20 years. The key message for all students is the slip, slop, slap, seek and slide rule when the UV reaches 3 and above.
Australia has one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world and last year alone the program has been rolled out to more than 124,000 South Australian School children and their educators. FGPS has proudly been recognised as SunSmart since 1999.
Our students wore their school uniform, which is endorsed as SunSmart and Sid Seagull, the Cancer Council SA SunSmart Mascot even made an appearance!
Here are some behind the scenes and clips from the day.
