On Monday of Term 1, Week 11, the Year 5/6 Bears and Sloths embarked on an exciting excursion to the SA Museum’s Biodiversity Gallery. This visit was designed to complement their Science studies on Adaptations and Geography lessons on Places.

During the excursion, students explored the Desert, Marine, and Temperate environments, engaging in activities that deepened their understanding of the diverse animal life and classification methods. Highlights included the Marine section, where students marvelled at underwater creatures, the impressive Giant Squid, and the lifelike snakes.

The students’ enthusiasm was evident, with many expressing a desire to return. Their exceptional behaviour was noted by both museum staff and the public, earning them a well-deserved shoutout.
