This term, FGPS students participated in SAPSASA Basketball at Wayville Sports Centre. Students participated in 5 exciting games of basketball. Starting the day early as the team met before school, a mixture of nerves and excitement was felt amongst the students. Before long, they left the school grounds eagerly on the bus to make their way to Wayville to meet the other teams. As confidence increased, FGPS took the win against Blackwood Primary School 24 – 9 and Annesley Primary School 18 – 8. Parents and spectators of all the teams were on the sidelines to encourage and support the great efforts of all the players.
Narrowly missing the finals match, Warradale Primary School took the win against FGPS, in a nail biting knock out match. FGPS played hard and demonstrated amazing teamwork. They showed persistence and resilience in all games and supported each other making the coach, parents and our school very proud.
