FGPS Stephanie Alexander Kitchen was abuzz with energy, sizzling woks, fresh fragrant herbs, and the sounds of skillful chopping, as students took to the kitchen for Japanese Cultural studies.

This week’s creation of Chicken Gyoza and Japanese fried rice had students from Room 1 Raptors performing like master chefs.

Learning about Japanese culture has many elements, from the colourful dress, theatrical dance, intricate origami, and beautiful bonsai, but one thing the students look forward to each week is cooking the dishes that they learn about.

Working in small groups to delicately prepare each element and cooked to perfection, the final dish was served with chopsticks to students and staff, making it a tasty recipe for success.
